In terms of non-exotic beaches - in the U.S. ... I think Siesta Key in Sarasota, FL - gives a lot of the big names ones a run for their money - for pure soft, beachy, between-your-toes, sand castle building = sand.

- Copacabana in Rio, Brazil (because of the people and the liveliness of the culture) and

- Cala Olivera, Ibiza (because the scenery is just magical and dreamy. The water is something out of a story book).

Magen's Bay Beach, St. Thomas, USVI

There wasn't a bad beach at USVI but I will say that this one took my breath away. It was visible from higher up as we drove down to beach side where calm bright blue waters awaited us. We visited USVI as a family for our 25th Wedding Anniversary & literally every turn we took brought more picturesque, natural beauty to our trip that we could ever imagine. Snorkeling & swimming w/ giant sea turtles kept us interested to say the least even seeing a stingray swimming right at our feet in the shallow surf. St. John's island was much less populated & also had tons of natural beauty in & around the waters. Beautiful beaches & beautiful weather is the best combo for a tropical paradise & USVI certainly delivers!

El Porto / Manhattan Beach, because it's where I learned to surf. :)

I’ve been to a lot of beaches and Aruba definitely has the best beaches!! Eagle beach and palm beach are amazing honeymoon destinations with white soft sand and clear blue water.
